Sleep Is Essential
You can do lots of exercise and take lots of steps. You can eat very healthy and drink lots of water. You can think positive and keep taking the next right step. However, no matter what you do or don’t do each day. You’ve got to make sure you get enough sleep.
Now, I realize for many sleep doesn’t come easy. But, for many of us it’s about making this an essential habit. If you’ve got health issues like mine you need sleep like you need water. So, you’ve got to get yourself in bed whenever necessary.
Honestly, my body “needs” an average of 8-10 hours of sleep per day. Otherwise, my nerve wrecked body will struggle in every way imaginable. Therefore, I’m having to back up my bed time to ensure I get the necessary rest. I continue to find that consistency always matters when it comes to getting rest.
So, I’m having to get myself in bed by 10pm at the latest each night. This means shutting down my phone, laying down my body, and seeking to let my mind and body relax. Throughout my recovery efforts sleep has always proven to be essential. Therefore, we’ve got to make it a consistent priority! Even Jesus made sleep a priority even in the midst of heavy storms.
