Someone Needs This Now

I was reminded of something last week that I should have never forgotten. For those who live in debilitating pain, it’s simply hard to live. When every second is a fight to move forward, all you can do is pray and cling to your faith. Praise God, even a little faith can carry you further than you think.

I can’t count all the times over the past 11 years when I couldn’t see anything but dark clouds. Last week was another one of those times. Pain can choke us with fear and drown us in misery. The devil loves to feed us lies and make us believe nothing can change.

But God has proven me wrong time and time again. I’ve got a renewed faith and a strong sense of hope. Time continues to show that God always has the final say. Don’t let your circumstances or Satan’s lies convince you otherwise. God will always work His good plans out, despite your bad days. In fact, it’s often in the worst moments that we are closest to God’s breakthrough in our lives.

I’m thankful for what I can do despite my limitations. I’m thankful for the strength I’ve found in my weakness. I’m thankful that God keeps making a way where there seems to be no way. I will have my spinal cord stimulator readjusted this Thursday morning. However, I’ve already begun to experience consistent pain relief, and I’m getting back to living a recovery-focused lifestyle.

I’m praying right now for the person who feels like giving up. I’m praying for the person so worn out that your prayers are only whispers. I’ve been there, my friend, and God has rescued me time and time again. What He has done for me; He can do for you. Hold on. Look fully to Him and know that He hears the cries of your heart.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.” Romans 8:28 (NLT)
