Back On Track

After a very long night and day I believe I’m back on track. My spinal cord stimulator was definitely over stimulating my body. It was turned off most of the day in order to calm the madness it was creating. Turning it off stopped the severe nerve surges, but my lower body pain increased. Even still, I can deal with regular pain any day over feeling like I’m about to have a nervous breakdown.

My spinal cord stimulator was reprogrammed this afternoon. Seeing as how this burst technology has only been around five years they are still learning how these new spinal stimulators work best. They continue to try new variations that have proven to help people keep their pain management most consistent. I knew when I got this implanted device that it was a man made work in progress. However, it’s well worth having even if it is unpredictable at times.

Right now, I’m just exhausted from so little sleep. Not to mention the extreme beating my body took all night. It’s like someone set you on fire within and burned every nerve inside your body. Afterwards, you just feel like your insides are smoking and singed. Only rest can bring the healing needed. I’m very grateful that God did not allow this level pain to linger. I believe that I’m right back on track with my pain management thanks to God’s quick intervention.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together[a] for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans 8:28
