Hoping For Change In 2018?

Renew 2018 2.png

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for the new year to begin. I realize it’s just another year and that nothing will dramatically change over night. However, I find we all need seasons of reflection, refocus, and renewal. We can’t just keep running on autopilot and expect things we never aimed for to just happen. And if you aim for nothing you will likely hit your target every time. I’ve actually heard many say the reason they don’t make new year’s resolutions is so they won’t have to be disappointed. My friend I’m afraid you’re actually setting yourself up for extra disappointment knowing you never even tried.

Now, whether you like new year’s resolutions or not we all make them.
Either intentionally or non intentionally you will resolve to do something. You will resolve to let things continue down their normal path or to make necessary changes. You will resolve to grow yourself in 2018 or refuse to position yourself for necessary growth. You will resolve to do things your way or determine to do things God’s way. So, choosing to not make any resolution is not an option.

Going into 2018 what needs to change in your heart and life? Do you have a plan for pursuing physical, mental, emotional, and especially spiritual health? What needs to stay and what needs to go? How will you seek to discover God’s amazing plans for your life? Or will you just continue to limit your potential by creating your own daily agenda.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but “be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Romans 12:2

Starting January 7th, 2018 I begin a brand new message series at Refuge Church of Walterboro called “RENEW.” Maybe you want to see things change in your life, but you’re just not sure how that can happen. Join us 9:15 or 11am at 203 Eddie Chasteen Dr, Walterboro and learn how you can be renewed.
